The Columbus East Soccer Association (CESA) Final Third Foundation program, which was established in 1984 to serve communities in the East and Southeast areas of Columbus. With our move to The Soccer Fields at Easton in September, 2000; we also serve communities in the North and Northeast areas of the city. CESA is a member of Ohio South Youth Soccer Association (OSYSA), an affiliated member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the principal governing body of soccer in America.
CESA is an independent association founded on the basic principles that the game should be fun, safe, developmental, and all-inclusive. We constantly strive to provide our members a family-friendly environment in which everyone (players, parents, coaches and officials) can learn the game and develop a life-long appreciation for it .
CESA offers programs for players from age four to nineteen years of age. Games are played at the The Soccer Fields at Easton, a 45 acre complex that is part of the Easton Town Center Development area, near the intersection of Morse and Sunbury Roads.
Recreational Program
Our Recreational Program serves as the foundation of the organization and is the very heart and soul of what we do. The basic objective of the program is really quite simple - to provide a safe environment for kids to learn and enjoy the game.
Teams are formed by neighborhood so kids can play with their classmates and for the convenience of practice locations. Teams are allowed to practice no more than two times per week. Games are played on Saturday mornings. Both the Fall and Spring Seasons run for 8 weeks. The Fall Season typically begins the week after Labor Day. The Spring Season typically begins the first week in April.
Developmental and Progressive in nature.
The Tiny Tots program is an instructional program for 3-5 year olds that introduces players to the fundamentals of the game, in a non-threatening, fun, non-game format. The Micro Soccer program (for 5-9 year olds) is designed to maximize individual, player involvement through a small-sided game format. The structure of our Developmental Program (for 9-12 year olds) begins to resemble the "adult" version of the game in field size, field markings, and the Laws of the Game. Separate programs have been established for Middle School and High School aged players to address the unique needs of these groups.
